Position: Graphic Designer

AZ Home & Gifts is an established design and distribution company that markets candles, photo frames and home decor products mostly in North America. In business since 1976, AZ Home & Gifts supplies products and custom packaging for many well known retail stores including JYSK, Walmart, The Brick, Urban Barn, Amazon, etc.

- Create product packaging that adheres to the companies graphic standards using purchase orders. Further, able to contact the factory in both English and Chinese to solve product and packaging die-line issues.
- Execute new packaging designs for sub-brand including candles, bath accessories and etc. through research, brainstorm, and design.
- Take product photos for a wide selection of different textured products including glass, wood, mirror, ceramic, wax, metal and plastic by working with DSLR cameras with both PC and Mac camera tethering software in studio settings. Also, post-editing with Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Make catalogues for sales representatives to pass on to key accounts through research, design, experiment with different layouts and contact with outsourcing print shops.
- Design wall art, word art, home decor items, and mock-up planogram sections and store displays utilizing Illustrator, then create sell sheet and presentations for sales representatives to present to key accounts and send to other customers with InDesign.
- Brainstorm event options, plan event details, purchase goods needed, and create posters as a member of the social committee. As well as designing the social committee logo.
- Complete basic web page update through a pre-created user interface.
